Disabled access and assistance
The ground floor apartment in the Royal Mile has a fully level access from the street. There are no stairs at all from the pavement, through the shared hall, or within the apartment itself. Even the threshold strips at the entrances to each of the doors are very low. (Don't worry,it's still lovely and warm!)
The first floor apartment in the Royal Mile is reached by a well-lit wide straight stair. After that there are no further stairs in the apartment.
The Harland apartment has a lift to the first floor, as well as a wide well-lit straight stair. Then no further stairs in the apartment. It's officially designated by Visit Scotland as suitable for assisted disabled people.
